Letting Go
I’ve got one more project and article to complete for an upcoming issue for Scrap N’ Art, and then I’m letting it go. I’ve had a fabulous time on the magazine team, learned a lot about how that process works, how the scrapbooking industry works, and about people. I must say, as awesome as it is to get a fabulous box of product every few months, sit down and play, and then see my projects in print, I like it better when its just a hobby. Its important for everyone to know that Candy Rosenberg, the owner of Scrap N’ Art is FABULOUS. And I mean that with all my heart. She’s got enough energy, patience, creativity, and drive for ten gals and I am thrilled I got to work with her and her team for the past year. Kudos to the SNA design team and staff. I will miss you. MWAH.

And she’s only ten. My daughter appears to have an obsession with journals. I have no idea where she gets that. Here’s the latest one, created courtesy of Scrap N’ Art. Its obnoxiously bright. And cheerful. And funky. And she liked it. And it was fun to make.
Here’s a peek at one of the inside pages.

Oh heavens, wait until you see this previous princess. Last December, we went to visit family and friends in southern California. We stayed with a friend of ours (hi Greg!) and spent some time with his family, including his niece, who we will call Princess L. Anyone who reads my blog knows my kid’s name is Isabella, but throwing out other kids’ names on my blog, well that’s just not nice without permission. So anyhoo. Here is Princess L.

1 commentOMG. Another Paper Layout
This can’t be happening. Can it? Yes, it can. Although I have informed Scrap N’ Art that this is not my thing, they just keep pushing it. LOL, its so worth it when they push me out of my little box. So yes, I made another paper layout. Again, with Pink Paislee products. And honestly, that’s a good thing. I loved playing with these papers.
This was fun because I made a digital overlay for my photo before printing it and that became my primary title. For my secondary title, I used my Dyno Label maker on a strip of cardstock. I ran it through and then sanded it to make the white core of the paper stand out.
Fun stuff people.

Seriously?
Oh yes. Pink Paislee made me do it. Well, Scrap N’ Art made me do it, but it was worth it because I got some Pink Paislee and oh, how fun is that?

So, the thing I like the most about this layout is the little mini-book attached for hidden journaling. Its not too thick, it will fit inside a page protector. But its got several little pages for me to write “love notes” to my girl. Someday, she will slip this page out of its protector and be able to read some of the thousands of things that made me love her at this moment in time. She will love that. And so I love it.
