Week in the Life and Ali’s Blog

Print Print

Ali Edwards posted photos of my Week in the Life project on her blog. I feel so special. Yes, she posted every photo that was sent to her for the past week. Yes, I am one of hundreds. But I still feel special. And I got a note from her that I am putting inside the last little envelope in the book. Yay!!!

Photos of my entire album are in a Picasa Web Album, the link is in the right column over there. I had so many nice comments today, that makes me happy.

More info about my album...

I used my Bind-It-All and I used Zutter covers made for the Bind-It-All. It is 7.5"Wx5"H. I covered the front and back exterior with some nice flocked paper, then embellished the heck out of the front. On the inside, the pages are two page layouts, one side with an enlarged photo, the other with journaling. And in between each is a little file folder I cut with my Cricut. The envelopes hold receipts, thoughts, and little notes, including the nice email I got from Ali about my album!

Have a fabulous day. I'm really swamped this week planning a Girl Scout troop camping trip with my fantastic co-leaders and mom helpers. We're going to have a blast I know!

  1. Yours is the size I’ve wanted to do. I’m not done yet but wonder where you got yours actual book?

  2. I love your album. I saw it on Ali’s site. I’m still working on mine but almost complete! =)

  3. Yah!! I’d already seen and admired it on Ali’s blog but hadn’t realised/read that it was yours…and then I came here!! How cool is this! You should feel special!! It looks great. I haven’t even started mine – got kinda swamped with my Cathy Z and Digi classes on at the moment. Perhaps I will work on this when I go back to the UK.

  6. I love your album. I’m doing my week in the life next week so I’m getting excited about it. And I’m with Maureen…..where did you get the book? It looks like you’ve bound it together yourself. It’s fantastic.

  7. I am with Helen – I saw your book on Ali’s website but didn’t know it was yours. So COOL that she posted something of yours. I like that size for that project.

  8. I saw your book on Ali’s blog and love it! I like the use of photos that cover a whole page. Your entire book ‘works’! I’m about to read more of your blog… hope there’s more of your creations.

  9. Congrats on the kudos, Carol! Well-deserved. I am having fun with my Bind it All, too… which I got from the same store and about the same time you got yours. I am taking acrylic classes from Jessica Guthrie this weekend and she is helping me so much with the BIA.

I treasure my Wk in the Life album, too, and I have done that same format on several travel albums. The “reporter-style” is perfect for trips!

Love yours! Carol G. in CA
