Taking Flight
Printis an amazing new book by Kelly Rae Roberts. I am so happy with this book. I haven't made it all the way through yet but she has already inspired me to try something new. I have started my first mixed media collage today.

I didn't have any *normal* wood so my husband gave me a piece of particle board to use as my base. I covered it with digital papers and images that I love using Photoshop. I then used acrylic paints and a brayer to paint over it and a damp paper towel to rub parts of it off so my papers would show through. Then I used charcoal to draw on the base of the dress form and painted the stand of it with acrylic paints. AND I made the torso from polymer clay, painted it, added mica dust, and baked it. Oh. my. This was so easy but so inspiring. I am so happy. And I'm off to read another chapter. I truly am Taking Flight. Watch me soar.
