It’s a Blog Train! Whoo hoo!

Print Print

Its time for a blog train and this one is awesome! The design teams of Scrap N’Art and Get Sketchy have teamed up together, along with SRM Stickers to provide you with inspiration and prizes!

Everyone on both design teams worked with a sketch provided by Get Sketchy. Here is the sketch!

And here is the layout I created using the sketch. I just love oversized photos. I wish I could have gotten some journaling on it, but I couldn't figure out where to put it, would be thrilled to get some feedback and suggestions!

I'm finding my scrapping is getting simpler, rather than more complicated. Great papers but less embellishments. I'm wanting to document the stories behind the photos, most likely because I am following the blogs of Ali Edwards and Cathy Zielske, both of whom really advocate photos + stories, rather than pretty pages. Oh, I love those too, but really, its all about the documenting for me. So anyhoo, I hope you're having fun on the blog train.

Now, in order to win prizes for this blog train, here is what you need to do!

Visit each blog in this list. Each blogger will have a “special word” noted in their post! If you visit every blog, the words will create a sentence. After you have the full sentence, your last stop will be at Scrap N'Art, where you will be given an email address. Email the full sentence to be entered to win a subscription and a prize pack from Scrap N’Art! There will be TWO winners for those prizes!

Also, anyone who leaves comments on the blog posts at SRM Stickers and at Get Sketchy will be entered to win prizes from those sites as well! So what are you waiting for?

If you started here, you need to head back to the beginning of the train so you don’t miss a single stop! Here’s the order of the blog train and we hope you have fun! Oh... and MY special word is.... HEAVEN ... write it down, you're gonna need it!

  25. beautiful work

  26. Love your layout. I agree with you the longer I scrap the more simplified I think I get. I’ve been there and done that with embellishments all over the page. Those took me hours to finish. Now I love the simplified, crisp layouts that look great. Thank you so much for sharing you creativity with us. I love your blog, the bright colors immediately make you feel happy.
