This is our neighborhood. We were lucky but we lost lots of big, beautiful trees. Oaks and pecans and magnolias. It was pretty amazing the day after the storm came through.

Scott is just about 6 ft tall if that helps you see how big this tree was... its all gone now. Cut up into bits and pieces and the hole in the ground filled in...

I would never have been able to lift this tree off the sidewalk before I started going to the gym. I would like to thank my trainer, Juan, for my super strength. You guys believe me, right?

Yikes. Really big tree.

And yet, life goes on.
