Busy Weeks
We've had a good couple of weeks since I last posted. We're eating dinner at home every night as a family, Isabella is actually LIKING what I cook - which is no easy feat let me tell you, Isabella is getting all her homework done and making perfect scores on spelling tests, AND she's practicing piano with minimal complaints. Since Scott is home right now, he's been whittling away at the Honey Do list and keeping the house as close to spotless as our house can get. I know he would rather be at work but for now, he's got a great attitude and he is being super hubby and super dad. We worked our first Girl Scout cookie booth last night. We were the first troop at the first booth for the first time at the new HEB in our neighborhood. Sales rocked just like I knew they would. Everyone is so happy the grocery store is there and everyone loves Girl Scouts and our girls did a great job selling.
I made *another* journal for Isabella. She asked for one with writing prompts in it. She loves to write. I love to make stuff. What a fantastic combination we are. Scott just rolls his eyes every time he sees another journal appear out of my craft room. This must be her 10th or 11th journal in the past year. Seriously. But its cute and I got most of the prompts from here. I just love my Bind-It-All. This whole journal, about 100 pages, was created in Photoshop and printed on regular 8.5x11 copy paper. The pages were folded in half. The covers were glued to cereal box cardstock. So easy and so cute when done.

I've done a few digital layouts. This one is my mom when she was little. Love that short little dress barely covering her diaper cover. And she actually wore shoes everywhere, wish I could have gotten Isabella to keep her shoes on EVER!

This is me and Isabella when she was about 3. I just loved her whispy curls... now her hair is straight as can be, like mine, but of course hers is a beautiful golden red. Just love love love her hair.
This is my grandmother. She and my grandfather, my mother and her sister, lived in London for awhile when my mother was young. Look how fabulous my grandmother looked in her cardigan and pressed cotton dress. I just love old photos!
.
This is my grandfather and his story about being in the Army Air Force. In his own words. How lucky am I to have this record of his life? There's more, I'm just working my way through it!
This is Isabella doing her homework with her cat, Buddy, watching over her. He thinks he's a dog. Seriously.
Okay, enough for today. We're all doing well. Everything is cool. We're headed over to the HEB to say hello to the rest of the girls in our Girl Scout troop who are running the booth today. We're delivering all of our cookie orders today. We're hanging out at home. I might get some paints out. We're having beef enchilada casserole for dinner, which scored a 10 from Isabella last time it was served. Tomorrow we've got religious school in the AM and a World of Music piano test in the afternoon. Isabella rocks on the theory and history tests. She's not even nervous. Love that.
