2009.10.15 Family Friday. Interrupted. Again.

This post is an announcement that I am closing my stores at SumScrapper and Digital Paper Hearts. I am not quitting retiring from designing, I am moving to a new store in November. Although I will miss so many wonderful scrappers and designers that I have met at these two stores, I am very excited about my move. I will be exclusively at one store and that means lots of simplicity for me. I love that. I need that. I'm not telling you where I'm going yet but know that it will be GREAT when I announce it!

So, the good news for you is that I am having a sale at my stores since I am closing. BIG savings for you. DIRT CHEAP stuff. And some of it will NOT be going into my new store so this is your last chance to grab my debut designer kits. They will go into the vault forevermore!  Go check it out! Links to my stores are in the sidebar on the right! P.S. This sale is not happening at SOTB as I am a guest designer there for the beKuler challenge.

Okay, so Family Friday. This weekend is cool. There is a youth conclave in town this weekend and our synagogue, Congregation Emanu El, is hosting. We will have two teenage girls staying with us starting tonight through Sunday morning. We are looking forward to it and hope the girls have a great time at the conclave! Isabella is really excited about having older girls in the house! I hope they act like rally cool but nice big sisters while they are here!

2009.10.12 Monday Madness

What a dreary weekend. It cooled off a lot but it rained almost nonstop. That led to a lot of time indoors which was none too popular with Isabella. Every time the rain would stop, she was off on her bike. The rain would start up again and back in the house she would come.

I've got a freebie for you today. The girls on my CT are busy creating layouts and a couple of them have donated quickpages for you to use. These were made with my new Wanderlust kit and I just love them. First, here are the layouts:

From Shantel:

And from Helen:

And here are your freebie quickpages! Just click on the preview to download!

Monday Madness

Another weekend bites the dust. It was a good one though, despite the rain. Softball got rained out. Dad and Nell's art show did not. It was nice seeing them and having conversations with my Dad helps put everything into perspective. Oh. And I took no photos of course.

This week is pretty typical except that Scott starts his volunteer evenings at Planned Parenthood this evening as an escort. Hard to imagine that is a needed resource but it is. I'm sad that women need protection to get inside a building, no matter why they are there, but I'm glad my husband is willing to be that protection.

I am wandering around town more now due to a change in my work schedule so I really need to carry my camera with me everywhere I go. I will try to start doing that so the lines of text don't all blur together on this blog!

Have a great week!

Interrupting Family Friday…

Cuz this is REALLY important!

Okay, so now for the real Family Friday. We've got company coming for the weekend. My Dad and Nell are back in town for tomorrow's First Saturday Arts Market in the Heights. It should be a nice show as long as the scattered thunderstorms are scattered somewhere else and not directly over the Heights. Scott is going to help them set up then head back home to go to Isabella's softball game, again, the whole scattered thunderstorm thing might be a problem. The rest of the day will be quiet as all of my chores will be done this afternoon BEFORE my Dad and Nell arrive. I must hide the mess put everything away where it belongs. I think I'm going to make spaghetti for dinner.

Isabella has religious school Sunday morning and we have a meeting about the TFTY Conclave. We will be hosting two teenage girls for the weekend conference being held at our synagogue. It should be fun. And exhausting. And Isabella is totally excited to have two older girls in the house, even if we will hardly see them. That's in a few weeks.

Okay, I'm at work so I gotta run. I will try to be a good scrapper and take photos this weekend!
