NDISB April Blog Train is Here!

Some of my readers may not know what a blog train is. Its a group of bloggers who join together to offer up something on their blogs that all have a theme. So I am part of the NDISB April Blog Train. We’re giving away an awesome digital scrapbooking kit called A Natural Earth and it looks like this. There are also a TON of papers and quickpages and wordart not shown in this preview. Its truly amazing and its all free!!!! All you have to do is go to each blog in the list and get the coupon code for that blogger’s portion. Then you take all your codes to NDISB and go shopping. And its all free! Whoo hoo!

Seriously, this is a big deal so if you have never done any digital scrapbooking but you have Photoshop Elements or Photoshop or PaintShopPro on your computer and you’ve been wondering if you could ever figure out how to use it, download this kit and then contact me. I’ll hook you up with a beginner lesson from yours truly. Seriously. How cool is that?

Here is the preview of my parts. I am not an official designer at NDISB but I am on their Creative Team. I had the opportunity to create quickpages and word art. Seriously, download these. I had so much fun making them and you can turn these quickpages into fabulous scrapbook layouts in about 5 minutes. Choose your photo, plop it in, and send it off to be printed at your favorite printer. THESE DOWNLOADS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

I am also hosting quickpages from March76. She is another member of the CT who made goodies for you but does not have a blog. Here is her preview

The next stop on the train is
Blind Sight Designs. If you get lost at any time, or if you found me first, but now you want to find all the other stops, here is a list, or you can go to the main blog at www.ndisb.com/blog.

Coming tomorrow… the NDISB April Blog Train

Some of my readers may not know what a blog train is. Its a group of bloggers who join together to offer up something on their blogs that all have a theme. So I am part of the NDISB April Blog Train. We’re giving away an awesome digital scrapbooking kit called A Natural Earth and oh my goodness, it is FULL of freebies. I can’t wait to show it to you but its a secret until tomorrow. If you have never tried digital scrapbooking, but you keep thinking you would like it, this would be a great place to start because, HELLO! Its ALL FREE!!! I will make you a deal. If you download this kit and leave me a comment letting me know, I will post a lesson on using quickpages in this blog next week. Seriously, quickpages are exactly that. QUICK. Okay, here’s a sneak peek, I just can’t stand it.

This is one of my four quickpages (and there will be more from other bloggers in the train). So you download this, you open it in whatever software you’ve got, you plop a photo behind that gorgeous frame there, add some text somewhere else on top of this. And you’re done. You save it and send it off to your favorite printer and voila! a digital scrapbook page shows up in your mailbox a few days later. Seriously simple and a great way to get sucked into this insanely addictive artistic hobby.

So come back tomorrow and get ready to get some freebies!!!

Sneak Peek: Number Cruncher

This is a sneak peek at one my debut kits. Why Number Cruncher? Well, its tax season here in the US and I used to be an accountant in my prior life. I still take care of tax returns for family members so for a few long weeks, I have numbers on the brain. But this kit is not about taxes. Its about numbers. Birthday numbers, anniversary numbers, number of kids you’ve got, anything that needs a number, you can use this versatile kit. There are a couple of different packages you will be able to purchase and as soon as the store is open, I will send you over there to grab it up at the Grand Opening sale!

Passover was wonderful. Our very good friends – Claire, Mark and Abby – came over for our seder and we had a wonderful time. They are like family so the conversation was hilarious and comfortable and not fit for strangers, LOL. My brisket turned out pretty darn good and Claire’s chicken soup with matzoh balls was wonderful as always. A lovely evening with lovely friends with a lovely purpose. That makes me happy.

I’m going to be Legit

What a stupid word that is. Legit. Apparently I have MC Hammer on the brain because I’m working on a new project inspired by one of his album covers as well.

Anyhoo… I am going to be selling my digital scrapbooking kits in an online store starting May 1. The store is brand new and is going to be at www.sumscrapper.com and I am SO VERY EXCITED to be getting in on this on the ground floor with some other really fabulous ladies. The store is not open yet but we’re going to have forums and a gallery and of course, freebies and sales and all that good stuff. I hope you will come visit me when we get closer to the grand opening. I will post some sneak peeks of my debut kits tomorrow.

Tonight is the start of Passover so happy pesach to my Jewish friends and family reading this blog. We are having friends over for a seder this evening so I hope my brisket and potatoes and carrots turn out okay. If they don’t, we will just have to survive on Claire’s awesome chicken and matzoh ball soup. Our ancestors lived on worse crossing the desert so I think we can handle it. This is always a really nice holiday with lots of ritual and our seder is very kid friendly for now so its relaxed and easy going without losing meaning.

Take care all, I’ll be back tomorrow with those sneak peeks!

Published!

Little ol’ me got a digital layout published. I’m SO excited. The Artisan Notebook is an online magazine for digital scrapbookers with ideas, products, etc. I submitted a layout for an article called Stretch A Sketch and the publication came out today. Whoo hoo! So I’m not on the cover but I’m inside on page 25 and oh that makes me happy! Can’t wait to show Isabella this afternoon after school – especially since the layout is of HER. I suppose she is now sorta-kinda-almost-famous too! LOL!!! Here is the layout that is in the magazine. Seriously excited over here… have known for weeks but I didn’t want to jinx it!!!

Also had this layout chosen as Layout of the Day at Divine Digital. Its on the home page today only!
