Life. Is. Good.
Wow. I’m having a great weekend. We’re getting so much done around the house. All of us. Isabella cleaned her room. I helped her. I’m almost caught up on laundry. I finished a facebook for our domestic adoption (don’t get me started on that process, sigh). Scott is finishing his man-room and putting the drapes back up in our bedroom, pictures coming as soon as he is done and I find a new duvet cover. And, I finally got my *stuff* I bought in San Diego scanned. I got all of this stuff at Solo, in the Cedors Design District, in Solana Beach. I could have bought LOTS more stuff!

These vintage flashcards were really cool. They had tons and I bought about five, these are my three favorites.
The ticket on the left is a betting ticket for a race in 1942.
The Wish ticket is part of a roll of 100, so happy, can’t wait to use some of them in a mini-album.
The *10* looks like a bingo chip but it has no letter so I don’t think it is. Its cute whatever it is, and so are the *Z* and the *?*.

I don’t know if these chipboard letters are vintage or not, but the font was great so I hunted for letters that would spell something, anything. I’m happy and might make a mini-album and LIST my WISHES. Ha!
So I really did have a great weekend with Lori, and I’ve been home and have had a great week here too. Isabella is SO ready for school to start. We got all of her school supplies and she has custom composition notebooks because well, because she CAN, because she has me. She loves the covers I made for her and has agreed to let me scan them and show you. That will be another day.

Back from camp
Isabella is home. Life is good. She loved camp. She had a blast. She is ready to go back next year. For 24 days. Yikes. Have to process that one during the schoolyear.
Oh, I also got some really great little vintage items in San Diego. I will try to scan them in and upload them for you to see. Old flashcards, bingo numbers, big cardboard letters, oh I was so happy in this neat store in Solana Beach.
1 commentJust a couple
of layouts. Used some new skills from my Digi in Deep class with Jessica Sprague. Still lovin’ this digital stuff. Trying to find my own style as I learn the techniques. So, the first one is the class project. I like it and I learned a ton, but its a bit busy for me. The second one is out of my head. I don’t care for the floral paper much, but I like more *white* space (even though its green/blue) and I like the cleaner look. Not sure about my fonts, a bit girly maybe? Anyway, I’m having a good time and now I’m off to sleep. I’m back at the gym this week (sucks to be frank) and hating every minute of it. I wish I could quit. Not really. Okay, yes, really. But I won’t.

San Diego
I’m here with my friend Lori, although she is still asleep. I’m pretty sure I will crash and burn this evening as we talked until about 1am and I woke up at 6:30. Jetlag and time changes are not my friend, even for a 3 hour flight which should be no big deal. Anyway, had a great dinner last night getting caught up. Can you believe I did not bring my camera? I totally suck. Loser. lame-o. Maybe I can convince Lori to let me be a tourist and use her camera this weekend. Will keep you posted.
